The computing faculty at University Centre Petroc offers degree-level study in either general computing or specific subject paths. If you’re returning to education, the Access to Higher Education Diploma is a good starting point, leading to a choice of two-year foundation degrees or higher apprenticeships.

Opportunities abound for computing skills in every field, not limited to technology businesses, but including IT services and support. The range of subjects studied at University Centre Petroc could launch you into a career in embedded systems design, computer gaming, software development or networking.
Foundation degree courses comprise focused study that can either shortcut entry to employment or offer pathways to continue your education to honours degree. Higher apprenticeships are studied whilst in employment and are normally sponsored by the employer.
