We are excited to be offering the following foundation degree courses, starting in September 2022*.

FdA Sustainable Tourism Management
This course looks to support the short and long term sustainability of the tourism industry in the South West. Working with employers, the course will provide you with the skills to enable tourism to become more responsive and proactive in terms of the social, environmental and economic changes ahead.


FdSc Sustainable Environmental Management
This course is a direct response to the declaration of a climate crisis by the Government and Devon County Council. Petroc is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO world heritage site Biosphere. Working with employers, charities and environmental bodies in Devon, the course will provide you with the skills to support the region in developing sustainable environmental practices and ensure Exmoor, Dartmoor and other rural environments are managed for now and future generations.


Creative Media

The Creative Media course will launch you on a journey to make media that shapes, reflects and changes the world we live in. Working closely with industry, this course will support you in developing your creative voice and provide a practical grounding in professional media practices. Whether you want to use the stunning nature of North Devon as a backdrop for your work or engage with communities on social issues, this course offers you the opportunity to learn a range of skills eg documentary, filmmaking, photography and online media production.


Performance Arts

The course in Performance Arts will offer high-quality training in performing arts disciplines. You will have opportunities to work with established theatre companies and organisations as you pursue your specialist performance pathway. The programme also prepares you to work as a diverse professional practitioner by gaining experience in a range of performance settings from international theatre organisations such as Selladoor, to smaller independent companies.
