Academic Partnerships

Consistently ranked as one of the leading universities in the UK, and named in the top 60 of the global Times Higher Education ‘100 Under 50’ rankings, Plymouth University has a strong record of excellence, enterprise and innovation across its teaching and research activities and is distinguished by its long-term engagement with business and the community.

The University is nationally recognised as having one of the largest, longest established and best-developed partner college networks in the country bringing university-level education to students across the South West. The partnership works closely with employers to develop degrees and other higher-level qualifications designed to increase student employment and career progression prospects.

As a partner college, we offer HE courses approved by the University meaning when you graduate you will achieve a Plymouth University award. Our foundation degrees usually have at least one built-in progression route to an honours degree (often one-year courses available at the University, or in some cases, another institution). Please note there is a deadline for applications and places may be subject to availability.

All Petroc students on a Plymouth University course have the same rights and status as other Plymouth University students. As well as our facilities you will benefit from extra University support and resources and can use its library, access electronic resources and learning support materials through its web-based student portal (including online information and support from the Careers and Employability Service), and receive vacancies via its job website Gradsouthwest.

As a member of the Students’ Union (UPSU) you will have access to clubs, societies and University sports facilities.
