Why did you choose to come to Petroc?
I’d heard great things about previous students’ experiences and loved the atmosphere on my open day.

And what made you pick this particular course?
I like how there’s a nice split between my time in college and my time in placement. I think it’s valuable to have a good amount of work experience but also have the support that college provides you with.

Which elements of your course do you particularly enjoy?
I enjoy going into placement and learning the practical skills I need on the job. I also like the practical learning that we do in class in the training room.

What have been the highlights so far?
I like the bond I’ve made with my class, we’ve created a really strong friendship and an effective support network to help each other within college.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I enjoy the range of facilities we have onsite to do activities, we have used the training room, the forest school area and the sports pitches to aid our learning. I really love the range of learning styles that Petroc incorporates.

What do you plan to do when you leave college?
I’m thinking about going on to my Level 4 in Childhood Studies whilst working as a practitioner in a nursery.

What’s the long-term plan?
I want to either become a room leader in a nursery or maybe go into speech and language therapy for children.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
Try to be organised, organisation is really important in this course as we have lots of practical work to write our accounts on.
