I chose to come to Petroc because I wanted to gain a degree and I knew that this was an ideal opportunity to do so. It is local, provides a sense of community, it is a pathway into a new career and it is a great opportunity to earn a university degree.

This course allowed me to keep my current job and to study at the same time, it is flexible and fits around my lifestyle.

For me, the highlights have been meeting great people and making new friendships, the lecturers are friendly, positive, and always very supportive and completing the BA Hons has given me confidence and I have learnt many new skills.

I am planning to apply for secondary PGCE in September, with the end goal of changing my career to become a teacher.

My advice for anyone thinking of taking this course is that it is a great course to learn, improve personal and professional skills, and build confidence. It is never too late to return to education and achieve a degree and change your life.
