Biography
I had been looking for a course and checking within a certain radius and when I saw this degree, I was impressed with lots of feedback I’d been given about Petroc especially their affiliation with Plymouth University – since I was in my 20’s I wanted to do a similar degree but life got in the way.
I like studying at Petroc as it doesn’t feel overwhelming, it’s not a large faceless organisation and there’s always help.
I did a few days helping out at the National Trust and Saving Devon Trees Project for work experience, doing this helped me choose the degree I will go on to.
When I leave Petroc, I have been accepted at Plymouth to do a degree in Marine Biology & Oceanography. In the future, I’d like to continue studying and hopefully a career involving our oceans eg. fisheries, scientific diving.
My advice to those thinking of studying this course is to just do it and keep looking forward.
