My choice to come to Petroc to complete the HNC Construction course was informed by my employment and my previous education which I completed at Petroc. The natural progression after my BTEC was to enrol onto the next level (Level 4) of education while still being able to work full time.
The modules involving design are the most interesting to me. As are any other aspects of the course that I’m used to dealing with day-to-day in my work.
In my second year I’m looking forward to the CAD module due to working with CAD packages and the design aspect.
The thing that I most enjoy about studying at Petroc is the online resources that they provide, as makes it easier and time efficient to research for my assignments.
After completing my HNC I hope to obtain CIAT accreditation and then I hope to progress within the architectural company where a work.
My advice would be that this course is a good choice if you want to progress your apprenticeship or need an entry level qualification to progress to university.
