Lucy Wells
Biography
I previously studied at Petroc for my A-levels, and I was looking for an animal/conservation based course close to home and this seemed perfect. I was excited to apply and was so happy to be accepted. Being a past student I know the college campus well which further influenced my decision to study at Petroc again.
I have a huge passion for conservation, the environment and especially animals. I feel after completing this course I will be able to further my career in the conservation/animal sector, hopefully finding a job locally.
I enjoy my small class size as I feel more engaged during lessons and everyone is like-minded in their interests regarding animals and the environment.
I am so happy I decided to do this course as I feel I am working towards a career I’ve always dreamt of. When I first applied for this course I was working 25 hours a week whilst completing assignments. I’ve managed to balance this well by choosing to do the part-time option, which lasts for three years instead of two years. Make no excuses, just make time and try your hardest and you can’t go wrong!
