Why did you choose to come to Petroc?
I chose Petroc because it provided me with a course that allowed me to progress in my future career and further education.
And what made you pick this particular course?
The reason I studied Public Services is because it was the most relevant course to the career path I am wanting to take. I was also hoping that it would provide me with an insight of the Police and other aspects within the Public Service.
Which elements of your course do you particularly enjoy?
I very much enjoyed how interactive the lessons were but also the different modules such as the Law and Criminology modules because it related more to what I am interested in. On top of this I enjoyed the Outdoor Education module because it was a different learning environment and it challenged and pushed me out my comfort zone.
What have been the highlights so far?
I was lucky enough to go on the ski trip which took place at the beginning of my second year at college. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I enjoyed very much but it also allowed me to try something new with all my college friends.
What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
One of the things that I enjoyed the most about my studies was the different opportunities that were given to me which pushed me and enabled me to progress. I also enjoyed the fact that we had different teachers for our modules because they all had their unique ways of teaching and they were very knowledgeable in the modules that they taught.
What’s the long-term plan?
I am currently studying a three-year Police and Criminal Justice course at Plymouth University. I am hoping that it will develop into a future career within the Police force.
