Petroc hosts pop-up event at Node Cowork to boost 2000 Futures campaign

Petroc’s Business Engagement team set up a pop-up hub at Node Cowork, Barnstaple, this week to raise awareness of its ambitious 2,000 Futures campaign, which aims to secure 2,000 work experience opportunities for students by Christmas.

The initiative is designed to connect learners with local businesses, giving them the chance to gain real-world insights and skills. Work experience encounters can take many forms, from traditional placements to workplace tours, guest lectures, job shadowing, T Level placements, and supported internships.

The pop-up at Node Cowork gave businesses the chance to meet Petroc’s engagement team face-to-face, find out more about the campaign, and explore ways to get involved.

Petroc says the opportunities are vital for preparing students for the world of work while also helping local employers to inspire and shape the region’s future workforce.

Employers interested in supporting the campaign can contact Petroc’s Business Engagement team to discuss opportunities here https://www.petroc.ac.uk/unlocking-2000-work-placements/
