learn the skills you need
T-levels are a gold standard in vocational education training. They are a Level 3, two-year qualification that combines classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 45-day industry placement with an employer to help you develop your industry-specific skills.
T-levels suit learners who want a more applied, employer-led study programme and are an ideal course if you have finished your GCSEs and want the knowledge and experience to go into employment, an apprenticeship or higher education.
A T-level Distinction* is equivalent to three A-levels at A* - and will be recognised by universities for anyone wanting to further their studies.
When you study a T-level, you’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom or in practical workshops and 20% of your time on an industry placement.
Your industry placement will be a 45-day experience with a local business and will last a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days). They can be undertaken as a block, over college holidays for example, or as individual days.
When you undertake your work placement, you can expect to be treated like a member of staff, experience a full induction and will be assigned a supervisor or mentor for the duration of your placement. It’s a great opportunity to learn what a career is like while you study.
