Hospitality & Catering Students Celebrate a Successful Year
Hospitality & Catering students celebrated the end of another successful academic year with a special awards presentation and celebratory lunch at The Park Hotel.
The event recognised the hard work, dedication, and achievements of students throughout the year, providing an opportunity to reflect on their progress while celebrating together in a professional hospitality setting.
Students enjoyed a delicious lunch before receiving awards that acknowledged their commitment, skills, creativity, and accomplishments across the course. The afternoon was filled with celebration, recognition, and plenty of proud moments as staff and students came together.
Student Grace reflected on her achievements, saying:Â “My favourite part of this year was winning Chef of the Year. My favourite dish to make is my potato-scaled seabass, which I made for the competition.”
Fellow student Jacob also shared his highlights from the year, saying:Â “My favourite part of this year was making a steamed fish dish with a mustard sauce. I just want to say Tom’s a really good teacher.”
The celebration was a fitting way to recognise the outstanding efforts of the Hospitality & Catering cohort, who have demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience, and professionalism throughout the year. Their practical skills, passion for the industry, and commitment to excellence have helped make this another memorable year for the department.
