Open Event FAQs

Anyone who wants to find out more about studying at Petroc – it doesn’t matter if you’re leaving school, are looking to retrain, want to learn about studying a degree, are interested in apprenticeships or want to check out our range of recreational courses. We want to see you!
You will be able to find out about all our areas of study, including A-levels, vocational qualifications, degree-level courses, apprenticeships, recreational courses and certificated courses. Our Advice & Guidance team will also be able to provide information about funding, transport, childcare, careers and any other support you may need during your time at Petroc. You can also have a look around the campus and get a feel for life at college.
Lecturers from each area will be available to tell you more about studying the course you’re interested in. We also have a team of student ambassadors who can provide real-life information about what it’s like to be a Petroc student.

We have ample parking on all of our campuses, and there will be signage and attendants to help you find a space. Parking is FREE for all our open events.

We have a Costa coffee shop on our campuses, selling a range of hot drinks and refreshments.

Campus maps are available on the evening. If you need assistance, our handy student ambassadors – identified by their red t-shirts – will be able to take you to where you need to go.

It’s not necessary to pre-register before the event, but it will speed up the registration process at the event if you do. If you want to pre-register, click on the day of the event above and follow the instructions.

Our campuses are accessible for wheelchair users, with lifts and ramps to help you get around. If you require any extra assistance, please let us know before the event and we will be happy to accommodate you.

It’s very common to want to find out more after our events. You are welcome to come to our open events later in the year to find out more information, or you can contact our Advice & Guidance centre who will be able to help you.
