Free Short Courses for Adults Returning In September!

Petroc is happy to announce the return of its highly popular Tailored Learning programme from September 2025, offering adults across the region the chance to access free short courses designed to help them gain new skills, boost their confidence, and explore new interests,  all in a flexible, supportive environment.

Tailored Learning is specifically aimed at adults aged 19 and over who are looking to upskill, retrain, or simply try something new without the pressure of long-term commitment or costly fees. Whether it’s brushing up on digital skills, exploring a creative hobby, or gaining practical qualifications to improve job prospects, the programme has something for everyone.

The full list of courses will be announced later this summer, with many popular options returning from previous years alongside an exciting range of new additions, all tailored to suit a variety of interests and experience levels.

Tailored Learning has proven to be a game-changer for so many adults in our community, it removes the barriers that often prevent adults from re-entering education. It’s flexible, local, and most importantly free.
