Petroc Student’s Artwork Selected for Prestigious Royal Academy Young Artists’ Summer Show

Talented art student, Isabel Gulliford is celebrating national recognition after her artwork was selected for display in the Royal Academy of Arts’ esteemed Young Artists’ Summer Show.

Isabel, created an expressive portrait piece, simply named ‘John’, that caught the attention of selectors from the Royal Academy. Her work will now be exhibited onsite at the Academy in London, as part of the annual showcase which celebrates the creativity and talent of young artists from across the UK.

The Young Artists’ Summer Show is a high-profile exhibition that mirrors the world-famous Summer Exhibition at the RA, giving young people the opportunity to exhibit their work on a national stage. This year’s entries numbered in the thousands, making Isabel’s achievement all the more impressive.

Isabel’s dedication and creativity, reflects both her talent and the high standard of work being produced by creative students across the college, and to have a student’s work displayed at the Royal Academy is a real testament to Isabel’s artistic skill and vision.

The portrait will be exhibited alongside other selected pieces at the Royal Academy of Arts in central London, where it will be seen by thousands of visitors throughout the summer.
