Petroc Celebrates the Success of First NHS Sector-based Work Academy Programme

Petroc is proud to announce the outstanding success of our first NHS Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP), delivered in partnership with the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)/Jobcentre Plus.

This collaborative initiative was designed to support individuals into meaningful employment within the NHS, and the results have been truly inspiring.

Throughout the programme, every participant successfully achieved a BTEC Introductory Award in Health and Social Care with learners benefitting from tailored support, valuable industry insights, and practical preparation for NHS roles.

This programme has demonstrated the power of partnership working between education, employment services, and the healthcare sector. Together, we have opened doors for individuals who may not have previously considered careers within health and social care, and this is just the beginning.

Petroc extends heartfelt thanks to all involved, with special recognition to Emma Sojitra, whose dedication and delivery played a key role in making this initiative such a success.

We are incredibly proud of our learners for their commitment, determination, and achievements, and look forward to building on this success with future programmes.

A huge thank you also goes to our partners at the NHS and DWP for their collaboration and ongoing support.
