Petroc Sports Team Continues Winning Streak with Fourth Straight Victory
The Petroc netball team has done it again, securing their fourth consecutive league win in a thrilling match against Richard Huish College. Despite missing a couple of regular starters, the team rose to the challenge with determination and teamwork.
The game began evenly, with both sides locked at 10-10 after the first quarter. During the break, Petroc’s coaches made tactical adjustments and inspired a surge in intensity that saw the team edge ahead as the match progressed. The hard work paid off, with Petroc eventually pulling away to claim a 48-36 victory. Both coaches noted that the contest was far closer than the scoreline suggested, highlighting the high level of competition on display.
Special recognition went to goalkeeper Teah Husband, named Player of the Match by the opposition, while Emma Baynham-Smith earned Petroc’s internal vote for her stellar goal shooting.
This latest triumph is a testament to the team’s resilience and skill. Congratulations to the players and coaches for their continued success—on to the next challenge!
