Petroc’s University Centre for Northern Devon Celebrates Class of 2024 HE Graduation
Petroc’s University Centre for Northern Devon (UCND) proudly celebrated the graduation of its Higher Education Class of 2024 in a vibrant ceremony held at The Cedars Inn today. Friends, family and faculty gathered to honour the achievements of the graduates, who have completed a diverse range of degrees and qualifications at Petroc’s University Centre in partnership with The University of Plymouth. The ceremony was filled with joyful celebrations, including inspiring speeches and a special reception for graduates and their loved ones.
The ceremony began with the entry of graduates and dignitaries, with Assistant Principal, Jo Byrne beginning proceedings by welcoming graduates, friends and family followed by words from Victoria Squire of The University of Plymouth, Chris Robertson and HE Faculty Managers, Clark Denby and Elisha Nicholls.
During the ceremony, Petroc honoured students who had sadly passed before receiving their awards, a special, heartwarming moment for families of those lost in attendance on the day.
Interim Principal & CEO, Kurt Hintz closed the ceremony congratulating the Class of 2024 on their dedication and hard work, commenting after the ceremony, “Seeing our graduates cross the stage today was a proud moment for all of us. It’s a testament to their hard work and the support they’ve had from our staff, family, and friends. I look forward to seeing them flourish in the next chapter of their lives.”.
Jo Byrne added, “The energy and excitement today was incredible. It’s been such a privilege to watch these students grow academically and personally. They are ready to take on the world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for them.”.
Clark Denby commented, “Today’s graduation ceremony was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through perseverance and dedication. I congratulate every graduate for their determination and I am excited to see where their future paths lead.”.
Elisha Nicholls concluded, “It was heartwarming to witness the pride of families and friends in attendance today. Our graduates leave here well-prepared, and I am certain they will achieve great success in whatever they pursue.”.
