Getting started in September

myCollege is your access to all things college-related!

Make sure you log in (see the top of this website!), update your password and check your details as soon as you can. You can then view a checklist of items to upload, such as your exam results, a copy of your DBS (if required) and a photo for your ID card.

You should have received your login details via email when you applied. If not, please check your spam/junk folder or contact enrol@ndc.ac.uk

Please log in to myCollege and check that your personal information (such as your name, address, contact details, and emergency contact) is correct.

If everything is accurate, you're all set!
If anything has changed since you applied, please submit a request to update your details as soon as possible.

Depending on the course you study, you may be provided with a reading list, you might need to get some special course-related equipment, or you might have to apply for a DBS check.

Look for your course here to make sure you have all the equipment and books you need before starting in September. Equipment lists are available here.

You may also be asked to complete some transition work before the start of your course - we'll contact you separately about this.

WHAT TO EXPECT
• Your enrolment appointment will take roughly 45 minutes to an hour.
• Feel free to bring a parent/guardian/carer, we offer free tea and coffee and suitable waiting areas.
• Please come to the main Reception, and we will direct you to the correct room.
• You will meet a tutor from your subject area who will confirm your choices with you, check your results and help you to complete the enrolment form. They will also give you information about your first day at College.
• You will then go to Stanbury Hall to get your photo taken and collect your student ID card.
• In Stanbury Hall you will be able to access further information and guidance from our range of support and information services to ensure you have everything you need before you start College.

WHAT TO BRING
• The evidence of your official school exam results (GCSEs, BTECs and any others, including overseas qualifications if you have recently moved to the UK).
• Completed exam results form (a copy of this will be attached to your enrolment appointment letter, or you can download it from our website).
• If you are not a UK national, please bring your Share Code and your passport or national ID card associated to your UKVI account; we may need to ask to view this information before enrolling you.

WHAT SUPPORT AND INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE
• Advice Zone - Careers advice and guidance if you have changed your mind or need to look at alternative options.
• Financial Support - Find out more about our new subsidised Travel Scheme and how to apply.

• Health and Safeguarding - Find out more about the support we can offer and chat to us if you have any questions or concerns.
• Learning Support - Let us know about any support you have had in class or during your exams at school so we can look into what support we can put in place. 
• Extra - Chat to our Extra Team to find out more about the Extra activities available at College and how you can access a range of student discounts.

Have you decided how you'll travel to college? Whether you plan to come by bus, car, bike or foot, take some time to familiarise yourself with the route you’ll need to take.

If you’re planning on taking the bus, take a look to see if you're eligible for a free bus pass.

Education is free for all students aged 16-18 but there may be additional costs you need support with such as learning materials and travel.

But don't let money worries stand in your way.

The 16-18 Bursary Fund provides help towards any extra costs associated with your course. Take a look at the criteria to see if you can get financial help towards the cost of a bus pass, equipment, books or trips.

You may also be eligible for free college lunches. Check out the criteria and apply now so that we can make sure it's available for you at the beginning of term.

We have a great range of clubs, activities and Academies here at North Devon College to help you develop your skills, meet like-minded people and broaden your horizons.

We have all sorts of groups for wide-ranging interests such as LGBT+, volunteering, sustainability, STEM, music, sports, and so much more! Make sure you take a look, sign up and get involved!
