Certificate in Counselling Studies
This qualification is intended for candidates who have already acquired the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and want to take the next step in training to become a counsellor.
The Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies introduces you to the three main theoretical approaches to counselling and shows you what you can expect from working with counselling agencies.
During the course, you will learn more about counselling theory, ethics and mental health and be prepared for work as a professional counsellor in an agency setting.
This qualification is designed as pre-practitioner training for further professional counselling qualifications.

Assessments
During the course you will be required to build a portfolio of evidence to meet the qualification requirements. You will also be required to undertake an externally-assessed written paper.
Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2.
Progression
This qualification does not lead to employment. It is designed as a pre-practitioner training for professional counselling qualifications i.e. Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling but it could also lead to employment in a related field.
