Biography

Graham was born and raised in East London, where he lived until relocating with his family to North Devon in 2012. His early passion was basketball which led him to play professionally for Crystal Palace, later transitioning into coaching roles with the club. He represented Great Britain at the World Student Games and served as Assistant Coach for the England Under-23 team. It was these experiences that set the foundation of his leadership journey.

Professionally, Graham has held senior teaching positions in five secondary schools across East London, Essex, and Devon. Prior to his appointment as Headteacher at Pilton Community College, he worked as a Specialist Leader in Education, supporting schools throughout the South West in developing effective approaches to behaviour and culture.

Graham is a committed advocate for relational and values-based education and leadership. He believes in ensuring that every member of the school community has access to the most appropriate support and opportunities to fulfil their potential and aspirations.

Deeply embedded in the local community, Graham has contributed to a wide range of sporting initiatives, coaching and supporting clubs in rugby, football, athletics, basketball, and surf lifesaving. With three sons educated in North Devon, Graham is passionate about working with the College and in partnership with families and the wider community to provide the highest quality educational experience for all.
