Petroc Joins National T Levels Week 2025 to Showcase Technical Futures

This week Petroc will be joining colleges and providers across the country in celebrating National T Levels Week, a campaign designed to raise awareness of the opportunities and successes offered by the T Level route.
Spotlight on Technical Education at Petroc
During the week, Petroc will be highlighting its T Level programmes and the students and employers driving them forward.
The Department for Education and other campaign partners define themes for each day of the week, such as Local Opportunities, Progression Paths, Workplace Wednesday (industry placements), Student Voices, and Celebrating Success. Petroc’s activity is mapped to align with these themes throughout the week, ensuring the college connects students, stakeholders, and employers around shared messages.
Why This Matters
T Levels are two-year technical qualifications designed in collaboration with employers to align learning with real-world workplace skills. Students spend around 80% in college and 20% in industry placements (at least 315 placement hours) to gain practical experience.
National T Levels Week offers colleges like Petroc a valuable platform to amplify success stories of T Level students, connect further with local businesses to expand placement opportunities, inform parents, students, and the community about what T Levels offer, as well as reinforcing the value of technical education as a high-quality, employability-focused route
A Call to Local Employers & Community
Petroc invites local employers and community organisations to join in this week, whether by offering workplace visits, participating in panels, hosting students on placement, engaging in our ‘2000 Futures’ campaign or simply helping amplify the campaign message online.
In doing so, they become partners in shaping the next generation of skilled talent.
As the T Levels programme continues to evolve, Petroc is committed to playing a leading role in North Devon, supporting learners to progress, developing meaningful industry connections, and promoting technical education as a powerful alternative to traditional academic routes.
