Funding for Degree student interns and entrepreneurs

From September 2021, all students enrolled on the first year of a Foundation Degree at North Devon College will have the opportunity to gain 20 days of paid work experience. Once the student has completed the work internship, they will receive a £1,200 bursary.

The new scheme could open up work experience opportunities that students had previously discounted, giving them a helping hand towards achieving their future career goals.

North Devon College’s Head of HE Development, Caroline Chipperfield, said: “This is really exciting. We are aligning our fees with other universities and investing that money back in the student experience. We are quite certain that the option for paid work experience will make our students particularly employable.”
