Exam Season Wraps Up with Impressive Attendance and Student Achievements

As the exam season draws to a close at Petroc, students and staff are celebrating a period of hard work, dedication, and impressive commitment across all departments.

With over 4500 written exams completed, approx 2600 individual pieces of assessment evidence uploaded and a fantastic 93% of students resitting GCSE English and 95% of those resitting GCSE Maths attending their exams, its been a busy time for all! The participation reflects the determination of students to secure key credentials that can open doors to further education and employment opportunities and the hard work and dedication of staff to inspire, prepare and boost the confidence of students retaking their GCSE qualifications alongside their courses.

A heartfelt congratulations goes out to all A Level students, who have spent months revising and preparing for their final exams. Your persistence and focus throughout this intense period have not gone unnoticed, well done!

Equally deserving of praise are our vocational students, who have successfully completed their Final Major Projects and coursework portfolios. These practical achievements demonstrate creativity, technical skill, and the kind of drive that will take you far beyond the classroom.

As many of you prepare to leave Petroc and take your next big step, whether it’s heading to university, entering the workforce, or pursuing further training — we encourage you to stay in touch. You will always be part of the Petroc community, and we can’t wait to hear about the exciting adventures ahead.

From everyone at Petroc — well done, and good luck!
