Inspiring Careers Talk by Stacey Woodruff Sparks Interest in NHS Roles

Starting off the spring term strong, A level Chemistry and Biology Year 1 students were given a valuable insight into NHS careers, thanks to a fascinating talk by Stacey Woodruff from the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Stacey, a Diagnostic Radiographer, shared her experience within the trust, detailing the responsibilities of her role, the path to entering this field, and opportunities for career progression within the NHS.

The session proved to be both inspiring and informative, offering students a clearer understanding of the vital work carried out by Diagnostic Radiographers and the broader opportunities within the healthcare sector. To build on this experience, these students will soon have the opportunity to undertake work placements in the role—a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience and explore their future career aspirations.

A big thanks to Stacey for her time and dedication in helping to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
