Jewson’s North Devon Branches Donate Over £4,000 Of Materials to Petroc!
Jewson, a leader in building supplies and materials, is proud to announce a substantial donation to Petroc, supporting the education and training of the next generation of tradespeople. Following Jewson’s acquisition by Stark Building, the company has chosen to repurpose stock from its former owners, Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, by distributing it to organisations that can make a meaningful impact.
The North Devon branches of Jewson have taken the initiative to donate over £4,000 worth of stock to Petroc. This includes a diverse range of essential materials such as plaster sundries, plumbing supplies, nails, hand tools, and decorating equipment, benefiting our Carpentry, Brick, Plumbing and Painting & Decorating courses. These resources will enhance hands-on training for students, equipping them with the skills and confidence to succeed in their future careers.
Personally dropping off the multiple palettes of materials alongside his team, Regional Manager for Devon & Somorset, Gary King, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:
“At Jewson, we’re incredibly proud to support the trades, especially those just starting their journey. Our North Devon branches are delighted to contribute to the learning experience at Petroc by donating materials and is a fantastic way for us to invest in the future of the industry. It’s rewarding to know that we’re helping students build their skills and confidence as they prepare to enter the world of work. I’m especially committed to ensuring that our two organisations develop a deep partnership having been a student at Petroc many years ago!”
This donation underscores Jewson’s commitment to fostering the next generation of skilled workers and supporting local communities. By providing these valuable resources to Petroc, Jewson is helping to ensure that students receive a robust, practical education that mirrors real-world industry demands.
