New Creatives III to showcase emerging talent from North Devon College at Studio KIND.

A new exhibition celebrating the next generation of creative talent will open at Studio KIND. in Barnstaple this January, following a successful private preview evening on Thursday 9 January.

New Creatives III, the third collaboration between North Devon College and Studio KIND., will run from 10–31 January 2026 and will be open to the public Tuesday to Saturday at Studio KIND., The Corn Store, Barnstaple Pannier Market, EX31 1SY.

The exhibition will present a curated collection of work by students studying across North Devon College’s Art, Design and Media provision, from Level 1 through to degree level, including A Level, Level 2 and 3, and Foundation courses. Visitors can expect to see a wide and ambitious range of work spanning Fine Art, Photography, Fashion & Textiles, Graphics & Illustration, 3D & Craft and Film, reflecting the breadth of creative practice being developed at the College.

Bridget Scott, Art Lecturer at North Devon College, said:
“This is our third exhibition with Studio KIND., who provide our students with a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work in a professional public gallery setting. Across our Art and Design provision, students take a multi-disciplinary approach to the creative industries, and experiences like this allow them to engage directly with the realities of creative practice.

“For students, this exhibition offers valuable insight into self-promotion, curation and networking, while supporting the development of a professional portfolio.

“We’re delighted to see our students’ skill, talent and passion showcased beyond the College, inspiring them as they continue their creative journeys — whether progressing into further study, university, or building their own creative careers.”

New Creatives III offers students a vital opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional public setting, while giving the local community the chance to engage with emerging artists and designers at the very start of their creative careers. Previous exhibitions have been well attended and warmly received by members of the public and practising artists alike.
