North Devon College Celebrates Outstanding Talent at Apprenticeship and Placement Awards
North Devon College proudly celebrated the achievements of its apprentices, placement students, and employer partners at the annual Apprenticeship and Placement Awards, held yesterday in the College’s Taw Restaurant.
The event brought together students, staff, families, and local businesses to recognise the dedication, skill, and professionalism shown by learners across a wide range of industries. Employers including Tesco, North Devon Council, Woodward Smith, MOD RMB Chivenor, and many more were in attendance to support their nominees and celebrate the strength of partnerships that help students thrive in the workplace.
Jack Partridge closed the awards with an inspiring talk on his journey to becoming an apprentice and his successes throughout his apprenticeship at Navantia. He was the proud and very deserving winner of the Apprentice of the Year award.
Awards recognised not only academic and technical excellence, but also personal growth, resilience, teamwork, and commitment in the workplace. Employers shared praise for the positive impact students have made in their organisations, highlighting their professionalism, fresh ideas, and willingness to learn.
The event was a powerful reminder of the strong links between North Devon College and industry, and of the life-changing opportunities that apprenticeships and placements provide.
North Devon College looks forward to continuing to work with employers across the region to create even more opportunities for students to gain real-world experience and build successful careers.
