North Devon College Celebrates Record-Breaking Final Open Event of the Year
North Devon College was delighted to welcome more than 500 prospective students, parents and carers to its final Open Event of the year on Wednesday 25th February – marking the highest attendance for this time of year in the College’s recent history.
Visitors explored the campus, met expert teaching staff and experienced first-hand the vibrant learning environment that has earned the College its strong local reputation. From state-of-the-art facilities to inspiring course talks, attendees gained valuable insight into the wide range of academic and technical pathways available.
A major highlight of the evening was the bustling Apprenticeship & Careers Hub, where more than 40 leading employers from across the region came together to showcase live opportunities and career pathways to more than 300 visitors. The Hub provided a unique chance for visitors to speak directly with industry representatives, gain advice on apprenticeships and employment routes, and understand the skills local employers are actively seeking.
Looking ahead, the College is already preparing for its next key event of the year: the Academic Futures Event. This dedicated showcase will give prospective students the opportunity to explore the College’s high-performing Level 3 academic and technical pathways in greater depth, helping them make informed decisions about their next steps.
The exceptional turnout reflects growing confidence in the College’s offer, particularly its strong links with industry and commitment to preparing students for both higher education and the workplace.
