Petroc Creative Industries Students Shine at Annual ‘Creative Showcase’
A vibrant fusion of talent and imagination took centre stage this week as Petroc’s Creative Industries students hosted their highly anticipated annual Creative Showcase.
The event brought together the dynamic disciplines of Art, Music, Performing Arts, and Creative Media in a celebration of student creativity and hard work.
Held at Petroc’s Barnstaple campus, the showcase transformed the college into a bustling hub of culture and expression. Visitors were treated to an immersive experience featuring live performances, thought-provoking art installations, and captivating media presentations, all produced by the next generation of creative professionals.
Performing Arts students wowed audiences with original theatre pieces and choreographed routines, while Music students filled the air with live sets, original compositions, and collaborative performances.
The gallery spaces displayed an array of visual art, from contemporary mixed media and fine art paintings to digital concepts, fashion, textiles and prints. Meanwhile, Creative Media students showcased short films and digital portfolios, highlighting their skills in filmmaking, photography, editing, and storytelling.
The Creative Showcase continues to grow each year, reflecting both the ambition of Petroc’s students and the college’s commitment to fostering artistic talent in North Devon.
