Petroc Hosts Pop-Up at Bradfords to Promote ‘2000 Futures’ Campaign

Petroc’s Business Engagement Team took to Bradfords in Roundswell this week with a special pop-up information stand, raising awareness of the college’s ambitious 2000 Futures campaign.
The initiative, launched earlier this year, aims to secure 2,000 work experience encounters for students by Christmas, giving young people across North Devon invaluable opportunities to connect with employers and gain hands-on experience in the workplace.
The team engaged with customers and local businesses at the Roundswell branch of Bradfords, highlighting how employers can get involved, from offering work experience placements to providing industry talks, mentoring sessions, or workplace visits.
Bradfords, a long-standing supporter of skills and training in the region, welcomed the initiative saying “We’re proud to host Petroc’s pop-up and play a part in connecting businesses with the next generation. It’s vital that we give young people the chance to see what the world of work looks like.”
With Christmas fast approaching, Petroc is calling on local employers across all industries to get involved in shaping the future workforce. Businesses of any size can take part, whether by offering a short placement, running a workshop, or speaking to students about their career journey.
