Petroc Launches New Strategies to Shape the Future of Education

Petroc is proud to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan (2024–26) and Curriculum Strategy, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our commitment to delivering outstanding, careers-led education. These strategies set a clear direction for the future, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our learners, staff, and the wider community.

At the heart of both strategies are four key pillars that will guide our decision-making and shape every aspect of our work:

1. Our Learners
Petroc remains dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive education that empowers every student with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in further study, employment, and life.

2. Our College
We are committed to investing in our campuses, digital infrastructure, and curriculum design to ensure Petroc remains an innovative, resilient, and forward-thinking institution, with sustainability and excellence at its core.

3. Our People
Recognising the vital role of our staff, we will continue to support and empower them through professional development, collaboration, and leadership opportunities. Their expertise and dedication are the foundation of our success.

4. Our Community
Petroc is focused on fostering strong partnerships with local employers, industry leaders, educational institutions, and civic bodies. Through these connections, we aim to bridge skills gaps, expand participation, and drive economic growth across North and Mid Devon.

These strategies reflect the collective input of our staff, students, governors, and valued partners. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to shaping this vision, and we look forward to working together to bring these ambitions to life.
