Petroc students gain places at outstanding dance schools

Petroc is delighted to announce that Performing Arts students are currently getting accepted into prestigious dance schools across the UK.

Flynn Rostock, who has been accepted into Rambert, world-leading dance training in Ballet and Contemporary, says: “The two years I have studied at Petroc I have really found my own style of dance and I feel as though I’ve grown in confidence not only during performing but choreographing too. My growth in confidence has allowed me to be successful in my auditions for dance schools. Over the past year, I have been busy with auditions at Northern Contemporary, London Contemporary and Rambert School. A proportion of these auditions were virtual and I felt prepared because of the great online classes Petroc provided. I received successful news from all three schools but I have decided to accept my offer from Rambert school.”

Josie Adams, who has accepted a place at Roehampton to study a BA Hons Degree in Dance says: “My experience at Petroc was very pleasant, the teachers have been very helpful especially over lockdown when we were still provided with online classes which helped us all with our ongoing training. I feel as though Petroc has equipped me with the right tools and I feel very positive about my future and my next steps to uni.”

Clare China, Head of Faculty for Arts and Innovation said: “ At Petroc, we aim to prepare our dancers for the professional world of dance. All our teachers are professionally trained in a range of dance styles and use their industry experience to foster students’ talent. We are so proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to seeing them flourish as they pursue the next stage of their training.”
