Petroc T Level Students Among Top 0.2% Nationally!

Petroc is proud to announce that two of its students, Eleanor Gabell and Lucy James, achieved the highest possible grade in their T Level qualifications, the coveted Distinction*.
This is an extraordinary achievement, as out of 11,909 learners taking T Levels across the UK this year, only 20 students (0.2%) secured a Distinction*. Two of this small amount of students having studied at Petroc places the college firmly among the top-performing institutions nationwide.
This achievement comes alongside Petroc celebrating a 99% overall T Level pass rate, reinforcing its reputation as one of the UK’s leading providers of technical qualifications.
Deputy Principal, Jason Jones said “We are absolutely delighted for Eleanor and Lucy. Achieving a Distinction* in a T Level is an exceptional accomplishment, and to have two of our students among such a select group nationally is something we are incredibly proud of. This success reflects their hard work and determination, as well as the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff.”
Eleanor said “I cannot thank Petroc enough for the support and encouragement I have received over the past two years. The D* means everything to me, and I could never have done it without the support from my tutors and the girls in my class. I am very excited to start studying Psychology and Early Childhood at the University of Plymouth in September!”
T Levels are rigorous qualifications designed in collaboration with employers to combine classroom learning with industry placements, preparing students for skilled careers, higher education, or apprenticeships. Achieving a Distinction* represents not only academic excellence but also outstanding technical and practical ability.
This milestone highlights Petroc’s commitment to delivering first-class education and empowering learners to achieve at the highest level. The college congratulates Eleanor and Lucy on their exceptional success and looks forward to seeing where their talents take them next.
