Petroc Welcomes the Community to Its Second Open Event of the Year

Petroc opened its doors for the second time this academic year, welcoming prospective learners, families, and members of the wider community to explore the breadth of opportunities available for the next generation of students.

Throughout the day, visitors joined informative talks covering apprenticeships, T Levels, and A Levels; explored hands-on demonstrations in our trade workshops; enjoyed live music from our creative industries students; and toured our hair, beauty, and spa facilities in the Lifestyle Centre.

The record-breaking turnout — including visitors from more than 16 local schools, home-educated learners, and those travelling from outside the area — reflects the continued interest from our community in high-quality education and skills provision. Attendees told us they found the event useful in helping them understand their next steps, with over 90% reporting that they went away with all the information they needed.

A thank you to the guests who took the time to visit and contributed to a warm and engaging atmosphere on campus. It was great to welcome so many enthusiastic future learners and their families.
