Celebrating Success – Petroc Hosts Annual Student Awards to Honour Outstanding Achievements

Petroc proudly hosted its Annual Student Awards this week at The Barnstaple Hotel, celebrating the dedication, talent, and resilience of students from across all areas of the college.

The event brought together students, staff, family and friends to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in their studies and college life.

A highlight of the academic year, the awards ceremony recognised exceptional learners with honours such as Student of the Year in each subject area, Sports Performer of the Year, Sports Team of the Year, A Level Excellence, and the Lecturer’s Award.

What makes the Petroc Student Awards especially meaningful is the inclusive selection process, a combination of student nominations and lecturer votes ensures that winners are truly recognised by their peers and mentors alike.

From academic excellence to sporting achievements and personal growth, the evening showcased the remarkable stories and hard work of students who have made a lasting impression during their time at Petroc.

College staff praised this year’s winners and nominees for their commitment, determination, and passion. These awards are a celebration of everything our students stand for. They represent perseverance, progress, and the power of community.

As the college year draws to a close, the Student Awards serve as a proud reminder of the incredible journeys students have undertaken, and a fitting send-off for those heading into the next chapter of their education, careers, or training.

A huge thank you to this years sponsors, Barclays, Mindful and the Petroc Student Union and this years guest speaker, Gary King, Regional Director of Jewsons.
