Jon Triggs

Jon was born in North Devon and has lived and worked in the area ever since.  He was educated at Bideford School and joined his current employer North Devon Council in 1990.

Since joining North Devon Council, Jon became a Chartered Accountant through the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) in 2008.  He has held a number of roles within the Council and is currently the Director of Resources and Deputy Chief Executive, a role he has held since 2021.

Jon is a qualified Level 4 Tennis Coach and taught tennis for 25 years at the Torridge School of Tennis in Westward Ho! before taking a step back to concentrate on his career.

Jon lives in South Molton with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and going to the gym.
