Assistant Principal - Curriculum Faculties.
Jon is Assistant Principal Applied General (Vocational), as well as cross-college lead for Entry Level to Level 2 courses.
He joined the college in 2013, when he set up the Animal Care courses before becoming Head of School for Health, Fitness, Supported Learning and Animal Care, and then Department Manager for LCFL.
Outside of work, he enjoys running and spending time with his two beautiful children.
Craig has been employed at Petroc for the past 20 years in a variety of job roles, having previously worked at Chesterfield College as a lecturer. In addition to his role as Assistant Principal for Academic Studies, Craig also act as the college’s HE coordinator, supporting our partnership work with Plymouth University.
In terms of his job role, Craig enjoys curriculum design - particularly the challenge of designing and adapting curriculum to suit the needs of local employers. He also still enjoys teaching / lecturing when he is able to take the opportunity to do so.
Vice Principal Finance & Resources
Bill Blythe has worked in the college sector for the last 15 years and before that at the Learning and Skills Council. His primary responsibilities are the finances of the college, the buildings and estates, catering, security, IT and Business services across all three sites.
A Politics Graduate from Essex University, Bill started as an accountant with Essex County Council and then became the education accountant, ending up as head of education finance. He then moved to Wokingham borough and was head of education, finance and admissions, then moved to the Learning and Skills Council. Bill held a variety of director level roles at the LSC, then working at colleges in Hampshire, Berkshire and in London.
Bill is also a director of the South West Institute of Technology and Barnstaple and District Chamber of Commerce, and is a regional representative on the National College Finance Directors Group.
Assistant Principal Commercial
Rozz is Assistant Principal Commercial overseeing the customer relationships with key stakeholders, learners and the local community ensuring that the college continues to provide the learning opportunities for our local community and businesses. Rozz has responsibility for schools liaison, marketing, business engagement and apprenticeships for the college, as well as for the development of new provision and facilities to ensure that the college continues to meet the needs of our local community and stimulates innovation and economic growth for our region.
Rozz has extensive experience in organisational development, brand strategy, marketing and communications having spent many years in top London advertising agencies before moving into the organisational development field and ran her own business consultancy for the 8 years before joining us in January 2018.
Principal and CEO of Petroc College of Higher and Further Education.
Sean holds the position of Principal and CEO at Petroc and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the College.
Sean joined Petroc from Bucks New University where he held the positions of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Enterprise and External Relations) and Pro Vice Chancellor (Education). In his most recent role he was responsible for research, innovation, knowledge exchange, apprenticeships, partnerships, marketing and student recruitment, as well as the University’s Transformation Programme and business development across all aspects of the University’s work. As PVC Education he was responsible for education strategy, quality assurance, academic registry and student success. Prior to joining Bucks in January 2016, Sean was Director of Student Education and Engagement at the University of Exeter, Senior Deputy Chief Executive at the Higher Education Academy, Head of Learning and Teaching at HEFCE and Head of the HE Regional Development Association - South West.
Sean holds a degree in politics and modern history and a postgraduate qualification in education from the University of Manchester. He is currently completing his doctorate at the University of Bath. His research interests include learning analytics, policy making, power and discourse.
Sean was born in Devon, where he lives with his wife and teenage daughter.
Director for HR and Organisational Development
Sheena began her career at BMW as an apprentice engineer. She qualified as an electrician.
After eight years with BMW Sheena gained the position of Training Officer, where she taught apprentices engineering. She then started her CIPD qualification. After three years in this role, Sheena left BMW and started her career in human resources.
Sheena has worked in manufacturing, the NHS, the charity sector and has over 10 years’ experience working in a General Further Education College. Sheena is a keen DIYer, enjoys walking and the great outdoors and is a fan of the cinema.
