Elite Training South West would like to introduce a weekly Job Club at our community centre based in Exeter’s town centre. The job club will help 100 jobseekers with job searching skills, confidence and job readiness and provide progression routes into further training, qualifications and employment.

This project will provide a Level 2 Certificate in Barbering for 20 people aged 16+ who are furthest removed from education and employment. The course will give them a tangible skill and route into employment or self-employment. Over 90% of students pass their qualifications and 70% go on to further training, employment or self-employment. This is an exceptional outcome given the complex challenges faced by our learners.

Changing Lives through Horses is an innovative project that will offer participants a unique way of building transferrable life skills, to put them in a better position to re-enter education, training or employment. They will work with our specially trained rescue horses and experienced team.

An Arts based intervention for young women aged 16-25 who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or depression. Participants will undertake a structured program of Arts therapy delivered by an HCPC registered therapist, followed by a series of mentoring sessions guiding the participants to an EET outcome.

A six-month project which will offer adults with learning disabilities the opportunities to learn the practice employability skills through producing preserves (jams, marmalades, chutneys and curds). These will then be sold locally, and proceeds can then be used to create sustainable job opportunities for the target group.
The Creativity Centre Educational Trust

Deliver our successful Creating Your Future course with 20 unemployed women from Torbay and South Devon, enabling them to work towards employment, self-employment or accredited training. This online course builds their self-confidence and develops their creative problem-solving abilities, along with other employment-related skills, through 8 interactive workshops, plus mentoring.
Exeter Community Initiatives

Remade will provide volunteering opportunities, training and support to people who are unemployed and recovering from addiction, mental health issues and homelessness. Our volunteers will refurbish and upcycle pieces of furniture and other items, creating useful products from waste/recycling materials and receive additional training helping them move towards employment.
