foundation apprenticeships

Introducing Foundation ApprenticeshipsÂ
We're excited to introduce Foundation Apprenticeships, a new, skills-first pathway into work for young people aged 16-21 (and up to 25 for care leavers, prison leavers or those with an EHCP). These Level 2 apprenticeships offer a unique blend of real work experience and hands-on training, designed to kickstart careers in vital industries.
Foundation Apprenticeships are open to:
- Young people aged 16–21
- Up to age 25 if you're a care leaver, prison leaver, or have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
These programmes:
- Last a minimum of 8 months
- Include a job with training at Level 2
- Develop job-specific knowledge, practical skills and work-ready behaviours
- Focus on helping learners transition confidently from education to employment
Employer Incentives Employers who support Foundation Apprenticeships in the first wave can access up to £2,000 in government incentives per learner.
Why Choose a Foundation Apprenticeship? It's a smart move if you're looking to build your confidence, get paid while you train, and take your first real step into a career.
