Biography
What made you pick this particular course/Petroc?
I have always had a passion for hair and I enjoy the practical style of learning so I chose the Hairdressing Apprenticeship.
What did/do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
Last year we did a showcase competition to demonstrate our work to the college. I really enjoyed the whole process of preparing for the show and being creative with the theme we had been given. It was a great show which allowed us to demonstrate our skills.
Did you undertake any work experience throughout your studies?
I went into salons around where I lived for a placement, to help build up my knowledge and experience within the hairdressing setting.
What do you plan to do when you leave Petroc?
I want to progress onto the Level 3 course and once I have finished, the dream is to open my own salon.
Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
100% do it, especially if you prefer a more hands on approach to learning!
