Noah Nutkins

Biography

What made you choose your course?
Well, when I started I didn’t really have an idea on what I wanted to do, but I knew I liked Aerospace so chose subjects around that area. Once I got into second year, new opportunities opened up such as the Build a Plane project and Robot challenge.

What did you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I enjoyed being a part of STEM, Build a Plane and the Robot challenge. It’s a bit cheesy but I enjoyed all the learning, the teachers have been great and the experience as a whole every day has been amazing. I particularly got on with Dave (physics) and Gemma (Maths) and Debbie (chem).
As well as this, I won the Student award in Excellence in 2022-23.

Do you have any future plans?
At the moment I’m going to Southampton University to study a Masters in Astronautic and Aeronautics Engineering. My end goal is to get into space industry, be a rocket science and work on rocket motors. But I might find something else along the way!

Advice for someone choosing the same course as you
Start preparing for your exams asap, it seems its far away, but if you don’t prepare you’ll find it challenging.
