Petroc Takes Part In National T Level Week Celebrations!
This week Petroc is taking part in this year’s national T Level Week, which celebrates all things T Levels, the innovative qualification that prepares 16-19 year olds for skilled careers, further education, or apprenticeship opportunities.
The campaign highlights how T Levels bridge education and industry, offering students a mix of classroom learning and practical industry placements. Daily themes through out the campaign highlight a variety of informative topics including what T Levels are, progression pathways, insights from employers, the benefits of the T Level Foundation Year courses, as well as celebrating the success of students past and present.
Equivalent to three A Levels, T Levels deliver technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and employer-backed qualifications, ensuring students are ready for work or further study. With over 12,000 employers involved nation wide, T Levels help address the UK’s skills needs.
’T Level week provides us with a great opportunity to promote the benefits of T Levels to learners, employers and our wider community. As they are still relatively new, some people (students, parents and employers alike) don’t know what T Levels are or what they can lead to and this week of celebration is the perfect time for people to find out more’ said Michelle Bright, Industrial Placements Lead.
Antonia Faust, Industrial Placements Lead added ‘Employers love T levels as it provides a pipeline for new talent and fresh ideas, while allowing them to train and test out new recruits at no cost.
We hope that T Level week will encourage more local employers to get involved by offering unpaid work placements to our students in Digital, Construction, Design, Engineering, Animal Care and Healthcare.’
