Assessments
The course is assessed with a combination of practical demonstration assignment, and /or multiple choice test for some qualifications.
Entry Requirements
You must hold four GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent (or above), including Maths and English.
An interest in beauty, skincare and the salon industry
A willingness to learn new practical skills and try new things
Good personal presentation and hygiene
A positive attitude and readiness to work with others
Confidence to speak to clients and work as part of a team
Good attendance, punctuality and commitment to your studies
The ability to follow instructions and work safely in a salon environment
A professional approach and respectful behaviour towards others
Progression
Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.

Will I wear a uniform?
Yes a full uniform is required for all practical classes.
Is there a lot of theory?
Yes although this is a practical industry it is very important to know the theory behind the practical and to understand how the body works .
Who will I practise on?
You will work on each other to gain your confidence with your skills and then work on clients for your assessments .
