Diploma In Plumbing Studies Level 1
The qualification covers the basic fundamental practical skills and knowledge required by someone aspiring to be a plumber.
This course covers a range of subjects including:
– Safe working practices
– Understanding environmental protection systems
– Understanding fundamental plumbing systems
– Understanding and demonstrating copper tube practical applications
Functional Skills in English, Maths and IT will form an integral part of this programme, together with tutorials.

Assessments
The course is assessed by practical assignments and written assessment tasks.
Entry Requirements
You must hold four GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent (or above), including Maths and English.
Progression
This qualification focuses on fundamental practical plumbing skills and knowledge and successful completion will ensure the learner will have gained the core skills and knowledge required by a plumber working in the sector. The course can lead to apprenticeships or further study in plumbing skills.
