Open Events

Please note: All events have been cancelled until further notice.

Following government guidance, we have regrettably made the decision to cancel all future Petroc events until further notice. These include our June Open Events and Year 10 Taster Days.

We are currently working hard to bring you an online, interactive Open Event experience, accessible from your home. The online event will give you the opportunity to find out about courses, take virtual tours of our facilities and ask our lecturers any questions you may have. Look out for updates on our website and social media about these events in the upcoming weeks.

Please contact marketing@petroc.ac.uk if there is anything you would like to see at these online events or for further information. We understand this is an unsettling and unprecedented time. For more information on how this situation may affect you please take a look at our information page for year 11s.

Open Event FAQs

Anyone who wants to find out more about studying at Petroc – it doesn’t matter if you’re leaving school, are looking to retrain, want to learn about studying a degree, are interested in apprenticeships or want to check out our range of recreational courses. We are here to help you go further in life whatever your age or interest!
You will be able to find out about all our areas of study, including A-levels, vocational qualifications, degree-level courses, apprenticeships, recreational courses and certificated courses. You can also have a look around the campus and get a feel for college life. Our Advice & Guidance team will be on hand to provide information about funding, transport, childcare, careers and any other support you may need during your time at Petroc.
Lecturers will be available to tell you more about the course(s) you’re interested in studying. We also have a team of student ambassadors who can provide real-life information about what it’s like to be a Petroc student.

We have parking on all of our campuses, and there will be signage and attendants to help you find a space. Parking is FREE for all our open events.

We have a Costa coffee shop on our campuses, selling a range of hot drinks and refreshments.

It’s not necessary to pre-register before the event, but it will help us gauge what you are interested in studying and direct you accordingly at the event. If you want to pre-register, click on the day of the event above and follow the instructions.

Our campuses are accessible for wheelchair users, with lifts and ramps to help you get around. If you require any extra assistance, please let us know before the event and we will be happy to accommodate you.

It’s very common to want to find out more after our events. You are welcome to come to our open events later in the year to find out more information, or you can contact our Advice & Guidance centre who will be able to help you.
