your wellbeing
Petroc is committed to providing a working environment that promotes the best health for all employees through:
- Embedding workable policies and procedures such as flexible working, family-friendly and special leave
- Increasing awareness and understanding of stress-related issues through training and health promotion. We are a Mindful employer, and have first aid staff trained in mental health support
- Provide access to confidential support services for all staff through our counselling provision
In addition, we have a Wellbeing and Mental Health Strategy and offer a variety of opportunities for staff to take care of their wellbeing through these five key themes:
- Connect with other people
- Be physically active
- Learn new skills
- Give to others
- Mindfulness
For all staff, wellbeing forms part of our CPD days, providing the opportunity to experience learning a new task or hobby, helping to recognise and manage stress and wellbeing as well as taking part in a variety of wellbeing clubs (from book club to running) set up by staff. Â
Our staff have the opportunity to take part in regular ‘pulse’ surveys so the leaders of the college can track and support wellbeing throughout the year.
