Why did you choose to come to Petroc?
I chose Petroc as it offered me more independence than any other college and had a large variety of courses I could choose from.

What made you pick this particular course?
I chose Creative Media as I love film and creating all different types of media, like editing and photography, so this course was a no brainer.

What have been the highlights so far?
Doing the big shoot this year was an amazing experience, since I got the opportunity to learn new skills as well as take in the scenery.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I have enjoyed being able to study something I’m passionate about and having that sense of independence.

Did you undertake any work experience throughout your studies?
Participating in the big shoot alongside Petroc was an experience I’m grateful for as I got a deeper understanding of sound/sound engineering and seeing the behind the scenes of everything. It has helped me to know that I definitely want to work within the film industry.

What do you plan to do when you leave Petroc?
I plan to go to university and study film/visual effects after college.

What is the long-term plan?
I would like to work within the film industry long-term, more specifically as a visual effects creator or script writer.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
My advice is to take any opportunity you have to do work such as photography, videography, editing etc. It will give you a real head start for the course.
