What made you pick Petroc?
I chose Petroc as it offered the course I wanted to do in order to achieve my career goals, and it was in a convenient location for travel.

What have been the highlights?
My highlight has been learning about Health and Social Care environments and learning new information. I have also really enjoyed the social aspect, and have created such a welcoming friendship group.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I have enjoyed gaining an in-depth understanding and insight into the inner workings and reality of Health and Social Care settings.

Have you got involved in any enrichment?
I have taken part in the film club, which has enabled me to have a chill hour at lunchtime, and not just sitting around waiting for my next lesson. I have also joined Just Dance, which is very fun and inclusive.

What do you plan to do when you leave Petroc?
When I leave Petroc, I plan to go to university and study medical science or paramedic science.

What’s the long-term plan?
I plan to become a paramedic in the long-term.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
My advice is to go for it. This course offers loads of really great opportunities for those who want to go into a healthcare setting. We all create a welcoming place due to wanting to put all of our effort into pursuing our dream careers within health settings.
