What made you pick this particular course?
I chose this course to train in barbering, so I could pursue it as a career.

What have been your highlights so far?
My highlight so far has been meeting new people and working together as one group, even though I am the only girl in the group I do not feel left out, it’s really inclusive and a close knit environment.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I most enjoy the technical lessons as we get hands-on experience, it’s a really practical environment for learning.

Did you undertake any work experience throughout your studies?
I am undertaking work experience in just gents a barbershop I have found it helps to do work experience as it has helped me to start building a clientele and possible placement

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
The advice I’d give to someone looking into this course is to go for it. It is a useful and flexible skill to have, and the teacher works at your individual pace, not rushing through any content.
